The 2021 National Bike Summit took place online, February 28 – March 3, 2021. This year’s theme was “Bikes: Our Vehicle for Change” in recognition of the power of bicycling to move us forward, even in the most challenging of times.
It was the nearly 1,200 bike advocates gathered for the same Zoom meetings…
It was the lawmakers like Representatives Peter DeFazio, Earl Blumenauer, and Ayanna Pressley encouraging us to keep up the work for better biking…
It was first-time attendees so excited to meet with others who love bikes so much…
It was the bike advocates who have been in the fight for 10 years…
All of those experiences and more made our 2021 National Bike Summit one of the best (and definitely the biggest!) to date.
And then on Wednesday, the Secretary of Transportation told us:
“You’re going to see a lot of energy coming from my office and my team. We’re just going to be a better, safer, cleaner and greener country the more people have great, safe options to get around on two wheels.”
