It is founded upon extensive local and regional efforts to plan and build trails.<\/p>\n<p>What trails do you use and like most?\u00a0 What would make that experience better? What are the most important new trail connections that should be made?<\/p>\n<p class=\"ncdotElement-DOTParagraph\">The N.C. Department of Transportation wants to hear from the public about North Carolina\u2019s trails and how to make them better.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ncdotElement-DOTParagraph\">NCDOT recently collected more than 11,000 responses to a\u00a0public survey. The next step is to collect feedback on the statewide trails network plan draft.\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<p class=\"ncdotElement-DOTParagraph\">\u200b\u200bThe draft Great Trails State plan was developed through a review of past and current planning efforts, steering committee input, 14 stakeholder workshops and a public survey.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ncdotElement-DOTParagraph\">The public is encouraged to\u00a0review the maps and provide feedback on the Great Trails State network draft.\u00a0\u200b\u200bAll comments are\u00a0due by
