Hello Volunteers!

We are looking to put on a chainsaw refresher class on the Cheoah RD on February 18 (and 19th if a second day is needed for field evaluations). We think we can accommodate a maximum class size of 20 people. First priority will be for those folks whose saw cards will expire in 2017, second priority is new sawyers wanting certification, third priority will be all others who expire after 2017. Please see the attached spreadsheet to confirm your expiration date. Group leaders, please forward this email to your group members as appropriate or to anyone I may have missed. I will need a response no later than January 30th. If for some reason we exceed the class size of 20 participants, we can explore putting on another class later in the fall depending on instructor availability.

Regarding new sawyers, please do not attempt to qualify if you are not comfortable handling a chainsaw or if you do not have any prior experience. Current 1st aid and CPR will be required prior to the class. Thanks.
