Thanks to all of you that made donations and volunteered for The Piney Knob Trails Entrance Enhancement Project! Because of your generous donations we were able to exceed the $2000 donation goal!
A big thanks goes to Eddie Sylvester of Natural Landscaping Services for putting it all together and members of SABA for donating their time, labor, and money. Approximately 40 SABA trail crew volunteer hours will be used. Natural Landscaping Services will be donating its machine time and crew as volunteer hours.
These efforts gave SABA the opportunity to show the city of Murphy its ongoing commitment and support for Piney Knob Trails.
This fundraiser’s purpose is to make a more sustainable enhanced trail entrance experience from parking gate to the existing turnpike at the entrance bridge for the Piney Knob Trail System in Murphy, NC.
Materials include gravel and mulch.
All work to be done by SABA volunteer efforts.
Approximately five hundred feet of sustainable road to trail conversion will be completed.
Wednesday, May 29th is scheduled for the volunteer work day beginning at 9 am. Meet at the trail head parking gate.
