Unfortunately, the 2017 event has been cancelled for lack of participation
The 3rd Annual Georgia Mountain Metric Century takes place this year on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the majestic Northeast Georgia Mountains. The mountains of North Georgia offer a world class cycling destination and our bicycling event encompasses several of the area’s climbs, known famously as “Six Gap” in both the bicycling and motorcycling community. We have two routes offering something for everyone’s riding style and ability.
The Georgia Mountain Metric Century is a challenging bicycle ride which takes in Hogpen, Unicoi, and Jack’s Gap with over 5,000′ of elevation gain. The Valley Route features 23 miles of rolling hills through the picturesque farmland of Union County and encompasses the ancient Trackrock Archaeological Area. With 2,300′ of climbing over 23 miles, the route is short, but challenging.
Register early. T-shirts guaranteed for all athletes registered before April 13, 2017 and your ride entry fee also includes a Post-ride lunch immediately following the ride.
There will be additional festivities in and around Blairsville the event weekend. Participate in a great ride for a great cause, relax & enjoy our local flavor, and see what your North Georgia mountain weekend has to offer…for additional information and event registration visit GeorgiaMountainCentury.com
