Volunteer Trail Work Day at Hanging Dog – August 25, 2018

Hurricane Irma Clean-up at Jackrabbit

Volunteer trail work day on Saturday, August 25th at the Hanging Dog Trail System from 9 am till 12 Noon. Meet in the main trail head parking lot above the boat launch area a little before 9 for a brief safety talk and a list of tasks.

Bring gloves, small folding saws, pruners, loppers, or whatever you have. There will be light corridor clearing, some chainsaw work, and small branch removal.

Recent storms have downed some small trees, and the summer growth has become too much for one or two people to keep up with. Come out and join the SABA to help maintain your Western North Carolina biking/hiking trails.
