The US Forest Service will be conducting a chainsaw refresher class in the Tusquitee Ranger District on February 24, 2018 (and 25th if a second day is needed for field evaluations). We can accommodate a maximum class size of 20 people. First priority will be for those folks whose saw cards will expire in 2018,
Tropical storm Irma left her mark on our Jackrabbit trails. Joanna & Fred spent over 4 hours trying to clear the central trail, & have to do more chainsaw work just to get this loop cleared. Our race is approaching quickly on Saturday, September 30, 2017, We haven’t even attempted to ride the other trails,
The Trail Crew Leader training course is a two‐day course for any volunteer that wants to learn the basic technical trail work skills to lead a crew. It will cover natural surface trail design, construction, maintenance and crew leader training. The focus is long term sustainability that can reduce overall maintenance needs and user impacts

Perfect trail conditions along with great weather brought mountain biking enthusiasts from across the southeast to the Jackrabbit Trails on Saturday, September 24. This date marked the seventh annual Chin Buster 6/3 Hour Endurance Race at our local trails. Just under 300 racers participated in this endurance event in either a solo or team category.
